Our FAQs

How do I measure my dog for a martingale collar?

Martingale collars are designed to fit the exact size of your dog's neck behind the ears when the collar is pulled closed. When fitted correctly, the collar will sit comfortably further down your dog's neck when not in use. When the control loop is pulled, the rings on either side of the collar should pull next to each other, but should not touch. To determine the correct size for your dog, use a soft measuring tape and measure the smallest part of your dog's neck behind the ears and also where a regular collar sits lower on the neck. You want a martingale collar that includes both of these measurements in it's size range.

How do I measure my dog for a buckle collar?

To measure your dog's neck, we recommend using a soft measuring tape around where the collar sits. When fitting this type of collar for your dog, you should be able to fit at least two fingers between the collar and your dog's neck for it to fit comfortably.

What is the Hound Lines Refund Policy?

If for some reason you are not satisfied with your dog's new collar, return it to us within 7 days of receipt.  Please include the reason you are returning your collar and we will issue a refund.  Please note, the customer is responsible for paying return shipping.
